2017 Porsche Macan

The 2017 Porsche Macan- a 5 seater luxury crossover SUV that sits and drives like a sports car. The Macan certainly lives up to its name- aptly derived from the Indonesian word for “tiger”- going 0-60 in just 4.6 seconds. The curvy front fascia heavily resembles its sportier siblings, and its stellar performance is superior to any of its compact crossover competitors.

The new Macan appears to be low to the ground and wide, providing a more intimate relationship with the road and a splendidly thrilling drive. A visual highlight of the Macan is the sideblades. Not only do they set a sporty accent, their design pays homage to the beloved 918 Spyder. The proportions of the doors appear narrower and the flanks seem much sleeker and sportier. The classic Porsche sports car design is particularly prominent at the rear: slender at the top, widening into broad shoulders above the rear wheels.

The interior is assured to be just as pleasing to sport car sensationalists; with enmeshing seats, a three dimensional arrangement of controls that resembles a cock-pit, and an ergonomic layout that makes using your convenience features as swift as your acceleration. The Macan now comes standard with more standard features than previous base models; including HID headlights, 8-way power front seats, Alcantara seat centers, the newest generation of Porsche’s infotainment system, a piano black interior package, a lane departure warning system, rear-view camera, and parking sensors.

The Macan now has four turbocharged engine choices starting with a 2.0-liter flat-four that produces 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque while achieving 20/25 mpg city/highway; whilst all other Macans are EPA rated at 17/23 mpg. The Macan comes standard with all-wheel drive and with Porsche’s impressive seven-speed twin-clutch automatic. The 7-speed PDK transmission changes gear instantaneously with no interruption in the flow of power. Whenever a particular gear is engaged, the next gear is already preselected. This uninhibited shifting results in maximum control- as well as an exceptionally pleasurable driving experience.

The Macan was developed to please any lifestyle- offering the comfort and capabilities of a sports car integrated with additional convenience and usability. As Porsche puts it, the Macan is “built for a life that refuses to be hemmed in by conventions and feels all the more authentic for it.”

The Perpetually Pleasurable Porsche 911 GTS

Porsche produces some of the finest sports cars in the world. It’s an unmatched symbol of extravagance and taste. It is perceived as the best. Fittingly, if you take a peek beyond the grandiose reputation it upholds, you will behold an flawlessly formed car with exceptional performance.

The new Porsche 911 GTS sustains its predecessor’s unnervingly perfect image. Prepare to be reeled in by smoky light lenses, 20” satin black wheels, and Alcantara suede trim in the interior. Its lavish looks are an ideal emulation of its dramatic performance. The 911 GTS goes from 0-60 in just 3.6 seconds, it’s instantaneously responsive, possesses an exhilarating roar, and it still boasts a calm and comfortable ride.

The Porsche 911 GTS is now featuring a 3.0 twin-turbo six-cylinder, resulting in a substantial increase in power and dynamicity. The drive system has two turbochargers with charge-air cooling that have been optimally adapted to the displacement and power output of the engine.  This construction minimizes the inertia of the drivetrain and provides spontaneous responsiveness. The standard seven speed manual transmission offers sport mode with dynamic rev-match function that ensures optimum engine speed and shifting reactivity.
